Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the BattleFlow mobile app (the "Application"), provided by Baru Software Co ("we", "our", or "us").

Information Collection and Use

We collect limited information to operate and improve the Application. Depending on how you use it, this may include:

  • App usage analytics (for example, screens viewed, feature interactions, and app events)
  • Crash and diagnostics data (for stability monitoring)
  • Purchase and subscription status/events needed to provide premium features
  • Content you create in the app, such as teams, battle logs, and preferences
  • On-screen Pokémon stats read via the Scan / Auto Scan feature, processed entirely on your device (see "Screen Scanning" below)

Most app data (such as teams, battle logs, and preferences) is stored locally on your device.

We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location data through the Application.

Screen Scanning (Scan / Auto Scan)

To let you import a Pokémon's stats without typing them in, the Application can read text directly off the Pokémon GO appraisal screen while you use the Scan or Auto Scan feature:

  • On Android, this uses the system's screen-capture permission (MediaProjection); you'll see Android's standard screen-recording notification for as long as scanning is active.
  • On iOS, this uses Apple's ReplayKit screen-broadcast picker to read the screen live while scanning is active.

Only the appraisal/stats region of the screen (species, CP, level, and IVs) is read — no other apps or screen content are captured. Text recognition (OCR) runs entirely on your device, using Google ML Kit on Android and Apple's Vision framework on iOS. No screenshot, screen recording, or recognized text is ever uploaded to us or to any third party, and none of it is saved to your photo library — captured frames are stored briefly in the app's local cache and deleted automatically once processed.

Screen reading stops as soon as you exit the Scan screen or revoke the screen-recording permission in your device settings.

If a scan fails, you can choose to attach the captured image to a bug report so we can investigate — this is only sent if you actively choose to send it.

You can also import a Pokémon's stats by selecting an existing screenshot from your photo library instead of scanning live; this is processed the same way, entirely on your device.

The Application uses third-party services that may process data according to their own privacy policies:

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide app features and maintain service quality
  • Monitor performance, fix bugs, and improve user experience
  • Process and restore in-app purchases/subscriptions
  • Communicate important updates when necessary

Third Party Access

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with service providers that help us run the Application (for example analytics, crash monitoring, and subscriptions), and when legally required.

Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information processed by the Application.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page.
